This is what Ampelopsis brevipedunculata (porcelain berry) does to the trees in PA. Brought over from Asia as a ornamental landscaping plant...worst idea ever.
It is related to the grape and creates thick mats of growth that utterly destroys trees, and is no fun to work with. Poor trees.
