Viking/Puma?

Basically. If I'm correct (and I am) the difference in names from lava to tachyon is worth 7$ more for the Lava name, you pay 9$ more for your rope to be called poison ivy instead of bluemoon and 4$ more to have your saddle named puma instead of Viking/buckcat but in the end, they are all the same exact item minus a color change in the ropes

I'll stick with the tachyon, blue moon and buckcat. It works for me because, let's face it, I'm so god damn good looking that I'll make any color rope look good. Some of you other ugly mofos might want to pay the extra couple bucks

they say most businesses that dont profit after 2 years dont make it too long.

so let me get this straight. there is no difference other than the color of the belay loop and the name of the saddle? why add such confusion to people? why is buckingham allowing this? some sorta wierd marketing ploy?

I am on year nine... and I've got 3 bucks in my wallet. Have fun.

Welcome to the dark side...

Here's a question for you Tobe. Because they are different colors and different names does that mean I couldn't use your "150% price match"

One can't help but wonder if the names are different so that people don't compare prices against yours. Why question if I can get my poison ivy line cheaper compared to the other mail orders if no one else actually carries a lava line, poison ivy line or puma saddle.

All of the pieces are starting to come together now.

Ft, that was my observation about price busting. I was going order a few new pieces of gear a few weeks ago. The deal breaker came down to a piece of tenex. Sherril only sold it in 20 foot precut hanks, wesspur sold it bulk by the foot. When I asked about the "price buster" they said it wasn't the same thing because there's was 20 foot, and wesspurs was by the foot it wasn't the same thing. To be fair the rep said he would see what the manager would do, but after a few hours the last message I had on my vm was wesspur sold 3/4, and Sherril sold 19mm. I never followed back up after that, not worth the effort.

Yea, I'm a c.a.b., I have to be

Dagh Marc, $4 on a $220 saddle (1.7%)? You're one tough hombre. Please, feel free to save $6 dollars by using our price guarantee, or, of course, shop anywhere you like in this awesome country.

While you're in "pick on Tobe mode" please consider the following; oddly, among those you likely performed your price comparison to, I find 5 other brands of rope (without SherrillTree-like versions); Blue Streak, Velocity, True Blue, High-Vee and Blaze priced almost exactly the same.

I won't take up Buzz space spelling out the obvious but to issue a quote (of unknown origin);

"You can always tell the pioneers by the arrows in their backs."

We sincerely appreciate those of you who continue with confidence in our spliced and manufactured goods and who shop regularly at SherrillTree and associated outlets. I look back over 25-years in arboriculture with a lot of pride, and ahead with deep conviction for our friends serving trees ...including you M.
Peace.

I like all tree supplier dudes :)Luke and co. at treestuff are my faves, but I have bought stuff from everyone, had great service, I will say one thing though, not a fan of the grizzly splice, too bulky and a PIA ;) just my .02 cents worth :)

Tobe, I'm not picking on you personally, simply stateing what's in front of me. If I've said anything to upset or offend you I apologize. My bad holmes.

Again, not to pick on you, but if I called up and compared blue moon prices to your poison ivy prices, would you do the price match?

Like Cary said. I have bought something from just about every mail order place out there and I've always had a great customer service experience (Sherrill always did a wonderful job). I currently shop at Treestuff because I don't have time to go out and "find" my deals like I have to with Sherrill so I go where I know the prices are always fair. The price match is amazing but it does take time, time in which I no longer have since the birth of my son.

Unlike Cary, I love the grizzly splice

And here's where FT with his long flowing locks rides up on a white horse to deliver flowers to Tobe. And then they ride off into the sunset and live happily every after.
