A friend of mine lost a employee today doing what we do daily. So sad for all. My heart goes out to his family and friends. And I can only imagine the pain involved for everyone he worked with. 34 is way too young.

Crazy that the worst can happen to even the best of companies...i will admit that today, upon reaching the top of a 100' plus white oak i thought about a guy a little younger than me that i never knew, nor will ever meet. Rip tree brother.

Yup we need to know what harness asap if that was indeed what failed. We get very used to what we do and maybe a little complacent, I know I for one was transitioning from crane to tree and forgot to actually tie in as I was distracted, almost undid my lanyard then realized with horror how close I came.

I know that over at the treehouse we would have a whip around for the family do you guys do something similar as I for one would be eager to donate. Small consolation but at least it shows the family we care

A former member on this site died that way from what I remember. Forgot to tie in to the tree before pulling his rope from the crane I think. Was wondering if that is what happened to this poor fella. RIP.
