Vermeer 935 w/Perkins diesel for first chipper

That BC935 is the exact machine my bro and I started with. It has been in our family for 14 years without missing a beat.

It was a few years back that I modified it, heavily, to mount it on a trailer along woth a dump body to make a self contained chipping unit. It’s awesome for that, and just in general. This is what it looks like now…

That is awesome! You can blow chips into a normal chip truck as well, it looks like. Very versatile.
If I ever outgrow my 65XP, I might have to consider this.

Very clean
Must of been stored inside every night
You got a good deal.
Thanks guys! I think it’s a fair deal. It looks a little better in the pictures than in person but over all it’s in good shape. I do believe it’s been well maintained. I’m pretty happy. The in feed is a little smaller than the bandit 90 but for my small pruning operation this 935 will work out great!

Exactly. Although, it’s best in the sense that you can detach from the tow vehicle and chip autonomously with a very small footprint. Great for tight sites.

I bought mine year and a half ago. There was about 1500hrs on it, up close to 1700hrs now. Paid roughly equivalent to $7000 US. Installed aftermarket autofeed, got her painted, and added some accessories (toolbox, rake tube, pylon holders). Other than that it's just been regular maintenance. I'll jam 9" red oak and sugar maple in there if needed and it never complains. Excellent chipper for most of what I do, although I am considering upgrading to a 12".

Sharp unit, I dig the black. If it's not too much trouble, could you show a pic of the rake tube? I'd like to add one to mine. Also, could you elaborate on the autofeed? Mine has "Autofeed II" but is missing the fuse.

This is how I have everything set up. I normally have two rakes in there, but I broke one last week.PXL_20230611_144757462.jpg

My autofeed is an aftermarket one (still made by the original inventor) I got off eBay. The original autofeed computer on my 935 was completely gone so this was the only solution.

I've got a 95xp we use it all the time even with just the 37hp kohler it chips well as long as you keep the knives sharp and learn how much to stuff into it at once it'll eat brush as fast as 2 guys can comfortably load it. For me there wouldn't be a huge improvement in going to a 12" chipper especially if it didn't have a winch. We do removals using my 95xp even with relatively large jobs and 5 or 6 guys it doesn't really slow us down it's just all about division of time and job management.

Back in Black for the win! Nice looking unit, and nice layout for tools. I dig the box on the doghouse.
