didnt document the process, mainly too much "Wordage" but hey, my long lanyard is useable now, was just using a scaffold knot but I had to re tie everytime I move my fs so I spliced it, plus its allot cleaner now

been running it like this for quite a while, very little wear, just a little burning from when I was running a blakes hitch
perfect stiffness for flipping up small spars (Western rolls great on big stuff)
id say its well worth it for a lanyard

sweet! velocity is such a nice rope for splicing. Do you find it holds up alright to the friction abuse of lanyard use?
defiantly, it puffs up the first few uses, after that its broke in and functions great, yet to find a hitch cord that wont work on it, flips great, knots easy

id say pick up 35ft of it and splice an eye in it and make a lanyard, you wont regret it

thanks man. I have a 54' length of it I am just starting to use as a "short, in-canopy ddrt line/lanyard". was using it the other day to toss up into crotches climbing a tall oak. It was rubbing pretty hard on those bark ridges, just had me wondering if it would get beat quickly, being a thinner line.
Of the ropes I have tried, it may be my favorite so far. It was working great to toss, as it's so light, just the carabiner was enough to heft it most of the time.

its a great rope, just be sure to milk it, I milked probably 1 or 2 ft off of mine, runs allot better when its not all bunched up

Arbssession does not carry the velocity, it's a shame because they have free shipping on over $20. Any other company out there do something like this? I know a lot of companies have it but some charge for the shipping.

My reason is because when I compare prices they are usually the highest, they have free shipping over $100, and they charge taxes.

Arbssession.com for me at least they don't charge taxes, usually the lowest priced, and free shipping over $20.
Ok, so maybe I’m odd (I’m sure I am, because I actually like working on trees out in the cold) but I don’t really care about price when I am making purchases, I care far more about service and supporting small businesses, preferably local ones.

The way I see it, if I, as a small business owner, want people to support local small businesses, shouldn’t I be the first to step up and do it myself? I have a problem with people shopping at Cut Rate Mega Store because it’s cheap and convenient, while complaining about the poor service they got there. You want good service, you have to pay for it, and the only place you’ll find it is at a small shop that knows you as a real person.

Ok, rant over, I’ll hush up now. (I know nothing about the size of Arbsession, and the above statements were not pointed at them)

Arbcession.com is a small company with great service and low prices. Use promo code #arbcessed for an extra 5% any purchase. Give them a look!

Did you not see the price matching ad on the screenshot?
I’m at the point where I’m exclusively buying from Wesspur unless they can’t get the item I want.

Not too long ago, I had a harebrained idea, ran it by Wesspur and not only did they support it they threw down company funds as well as the employee I spoke with threw some personal funds at it.
So I’m biased as well as I get next day delivery just due to proximity

Awesome! Can you post an update when it is available? I want to splice this rope because there is so many tutorials on this exact rope. I am new to splicing and would prefer to follow along with this rope!
