Sorry for the view. Little did I know, my hemmet cam got rotated a little. I was not shooting horizontally.

Cool short vid. I think your good sound came from the sound bouncing off of the brick wall instead of just going into space.

Ahhh... Good observation. I didn't think of that.

Has anyone noticed the sound? When the hinge wood is cracking, just as it separates from the stump there is a pop. The pop sounds like a cork coming off of a wine bottle. I've never heard a tree do that.

That cork pop sound must have come from fiber pull, creating a vacum, just like bottle of wine.. Pretty cool..

Seems like it would have been easier to just pull with the mini... I guess you didn't want to have to pull the mini into the road... No problemn pulling with the GRCS there, just a little longer to set up...

True. Pulling with the mini would have been way too close to judge the fall of the spar and negotiate distance towards traffic. And that street probably has a car passing by every 30 seconds (minimum). Too crazy for my blood.

Death pop. That's what a friend calls it everytime a tree lets out that noise. Crack, crack, kaboom. It's on its way after that.
