Urban Forester: Millersville, Maryland
WSSI is seeking an entry to mid-level candidate familiar with performing forest stand delineations, specimen tree assessments, reviewing construction plans for conflicts with trees, preparing tree preservation plans, and other related technical skills regarding arboriculture and urban forestry. Strong knowledge of/experience in one or more of the following fields desired: arboriculture, urban forestry, forest and landscape plant identification (including trees/shrubs), or landscape architecture. Preference will be given to candidates who possess ISA Certified Arborist credential and have some GIS and/or CAD experience. General knowledge of the ecology of the Mid-Atlantic and an interest in working both indoors and outdoors in varying terrain is required. Experience working with a diverse client base in both the public and private sectors highly desirable, with a willingness to travel regionally. On the job training will be provided by senior staff along with periodic workshops and classes. BA/BS required.
