Agreed. All who have dealings with this guy need to be vocal and transparent, dude should be able to respond publicly but not allowed to post new threads until everyone either has their $ back, or the gear they paid for.

View attachment 70078View attachment 70077This reaks. I paypal’d late yesterday afternoon, saw the follow up on this thread and went straight to cancel the transaction. I could not as PayPal said the transaction is complete. I’ve never known PayPal to automatically send the funds back needing the end user to verify anything. They might hold the funds in suspension but not return them. Also why would it mark it complete only then to bounce it?

I made a fair offer, which was instantly approved of. I got the PayPal email address which is exactly the same as the users screen name (flag 1)
The next morning I got a dm at 4am asking if I was still interested. I replied that I was and would send $ later in the day.
I did exactly that then came back to this thread.
Now I got the same response about using cash app.
The fact that it’s been crickets from the seller publicly is utter BS.

I've already alerted them of the situation from the other thread(carbon spikes) and this one.
We need to keep an eye out on the other "channels" too.

Then got messaged by him asking asking if I had cash app. He didn’t choose to refund me, PayPal automatically did it, very possibly because they suspended all action for him because there’s other pending disputes against him. Just theory, I’ve no way of knowing that.
I’m too optimistic as well, I was still holding out a little hope that he was legit, until Chipper1 showed that he was going under different names. That seals it.
I hope the rest of y’all get your cash back.

I was mainly asking because to lose $500 is tough to swallow - if we had some sort of critical mass to make @chipper1 whole, I'd throw in a $20 or so. That really sucks.

Not easily if the money was sent “ friends and family.” For “ goods and services” it’s easier to get refunded. Too easy sometimes to the point where sometimes a seller gets burned. I read a thread about it here a while ago.

Yes as long as you pay with goods and services like Brett (@chipper1 ) did. It's still quite the inconvenience though.

Mind sharing the verbiage of the ‘auto refund’?

Meaning it automatically got kicked back to me several hours after I sent it. He messaged me saying funds received after I sent it, maybe around midnight, then around noon the next day got an email from PayPal saying I was refunded full amount. Then later that day he messaged me here saying his PayPal is messed up and asking about cash app.
