Union tree work in California

Does anyone know if there are Union requirements for California concerning tree work?

not that I've ever heard, I've heard that you're a lot better off as far as benefits go if you work for the city and state, rather than a private company, like most places. But never heard of a union, could be wrong though. Check out CAA California Arborist Association, they're a great contact for info on a lot of this stuff.
