Tying to the Becket???

I am wanting to play around with tying my tress cord to the becket of a Petzel fixed pulley. Has there been any determination made as to the strnghth of the becket in this application? Also, how do you guys like using they cord tied to the becket?

I've been using that set up with a version of the VT as shown to me by Big John and Jim Roach. Everyon questions the sharpness on thge cord. And I check it everyday. Nothing noticed. Remember though my VT ends with kinda a kunt and the main side with that goes directly to the biner. the other which in my sense has a lot less pull and movement. That VT is auto tending BTW. The force at that point would be different if I used a different VT type hitch. So, it is specific in this case.

I did use it for while but wnet back to two fishermans on the biner.the ease of just haveing to take the pulley on and off did'nt seem worth the sacrifise in the way my hitch reacts

Hmmmm, interesting, I get more irradic action in the biner with 2 fishermans to the biner. And since it is frowned on by US standards perhaps I should reconsider it.
