Tulip pruning

The houses are surrounded by 100'-140' tall Tulips, Oaks, Beech trees and Black Birch. This house we are mainly pruning Tulips. I love it, but imagine how nerve racking it would be to live here during storm season? /forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

When i drive through those areas of Joisey, i'm glad i don't work there. Lots of big tree's and everyone has a crane just to stay competitive.

At least the leaves fall off in winter - similar scenarios in the northwest, but with Douglas and Grand Fir. In Victoria they are all slowly dying, and urban development prevents any regen - the look of the city is changing. I'll take the hazards of big trees any day, as long as they're healthy.

you should see some of the areas in humboldt, sandy loam soil, 200 ft trees, occaionaly one comes down and takes out 2 or 3 homes in a row, some people go into town and get a hotel room rather than stay up wondering all night.
i love living in a forest, and those lil winding roads are cool.
