Tuesdaze

Stihlmadd

Been here a while
Euc removal in a rear yard , one day job.
watch in HD.
cheers Ben.
I will be in America in Longmont Colorado staying with Levi and Kenn from the 12th of september till the 21st september and attending the NATTC on the 19/20 th september at Longmont.
I would like to catch up with as many tree buzzers as possible while in the states as the odds of me coming to America again are slim.
:D

Great vid Ben. A few cameos from the guy behind the black gloves. It's amazing how few mature trees were in the area you were working. It was like a residential wasteland. Kinda like Arizona. Anyway. Enjoyed it and the lucky. I mean skilled parting shot.

Noooo,.... you are supposed to be watching the lovely sawdust chips and the top in the sunlight not my mug.
:)
thankyou Steve.
and yes you can start to see what I have been wailing about in regards to how with the relaxation of the significant tree laws and the push for urban in fill expansion due to the artificial housing price bubble how we have decimated all the mature trees in suburbia.:rayos:
about six big girls left in that district, I know cause I have removed the ones next door , down the street etc
but I have bills to pay and money does sometimes grow on trees.
the roll up at the end is a bonus point score on site if you can get it to happen.

Wish I could get out there from Illinois to meet you, Ben.

Are they going to string you up on some SRT climbs while you are here? I know Levi is a pro at it.

thank you Mark just putting the offer out there,
I bloody well hope He is going to help a cobber out with a bit of SRT, after all it does seem easier than the proposed intercontinental canoe expedition discussed earlier in the year. :D
and I did pony up the offer of joint video project

That saw is like an extension of your body... so natural! Beautiful work, you look supremely fit. I am going to try to make a trip to CO to meet the man in person. Really hoping it works out between work and family and such.

I hate to agree with Reg (because I actually enjoy the production values of your vids), but with your solid skills it would be nice to see a bit more of how you set up some of those cuts. The perspective on wide angle lenses can be misleading and sometimes the shot of the piece flying away is all to brief. Maybe a sequence from tie-off to cut all the way through. To hell with climbing technique, you are a man in his element and there's nothing I love more than that.

Cheers!

John

ben this is completely not related to your video, but i wanted to share this with you cause i thought you might get a kick outta this. my friend from Ireland has a brother living in Australia, can remember where now, but he was saying his brother thinks Australians are some of the funnest and funniest and wildest people he knows.
wish we could catch up during your time in the states, im sure you will have a good time.

well that hit about every swear word in the space of a minute.:sorprendido3:

I grew up in western Australia in small mining towns and that was nothing unusual .
playing practical jokes is as common as sledging and just as acceptable behaviour to keep each other in check.
if you haven't done some kind of set up from prank falls to fire crackers to elaborate run arounds then the aussie larrikin character is lacking.
and no one is off limits.
wish we could catch up during your time in the states, im sure you will have a good time.
thankyou , the offer is still good the other way round, any time you find yourself in Adelaide the doors open.(y)

Guess I'll have to follow the yellow brick road if I want to meet ya
Ha well I hope you google map me first , South Australia really is just that on the bottom of the continent that is on the bottom of the world, you are in for a epic flight :D
Mike Dirksen is just beginning his journey this way but gets off at brisbane a much shorter trip.
You are of course more than welcome though, .. I respect any one brave enough to venture down here .

:maraca:
no pressure.
that would be impressive I am almost giggling at the prospect of a BBQ in the Rocky mountains watching out for Bears and bigfoots don't steal your snags off the barbie. probably wolfs and some big cat to contend with as well,
explains the guns a bit more sensible when it is put into context.
I hate to agree with Reg
it is all good, I am taking the advice on board and am preparing a concept where I can meet the brief .
but be warned - I did point out the verbal nature of my diatribe whilst aloft.
and I have an awful singing voice.
it really will be most excellent to meet up with your self John,
That saw is like an extension of your body...
my physio keeps on about the muscle areas that are obvious to the trained eye a result of long term climbing,
last week it was the some thing muscle in the left elbow, all I know is my friends don't arm wrestle around me any more.:risas:
looking forward to it good sir.
Ben
