TRYING TO SEE WHAT'S OUT THERE.

I'm a ACRT trained climber with wildland firefighting experience. I have 15+ years experience in climbing and rigging, and am skilled in all phases of tree trimming and removal, with or without a crane, specializing in large or hazardous tree removal. I have extensive experience in doing storm damage, especially ice storms and hurricanes, and have done so in many states. Noted hurricanes I've worked are Sandy and Katrina, the latter of which I rode out and survived. Looking to escape the failing tree industry in New Orleans. Willing to relocate if I can get help cause funds are tight. Would love to find either somewhere in Pacific northwest, Austin Texas, Colorado, or maybe the Carolinas, but will consider any place if the opportunity is right. I hope to get a lot of suggestions. Thank you for your time, and good luck to all of you. :-)

My phone number is 504 920 7967, but my phone is shut down till I get paid on Friday. Like I said times are hard here and funds are tight. Since the economy went bad I've been forced to work freelance for several companies due to the fact that no company can give me a 40 hour schedule. Some have even started to become landscape/tree services and only need me when they have trees. It's feast or famine. The best time I can be reached is in the evening. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Dave- tree companies are hiring like crazy in this area. The pay scale is a little unmatched to the cost of living but there are companies around that will peel off some good cash for good employees and subs.

Well it depends on what kind of commute you want to have... The best paid foreman I know in the area is near $30. A 2 bedroom place in Boulder you're looking at nearly 2k a month, it is expensive to live here, you can find cheaper amenities in the surrounding areas, I guess it all evens out.

ISA website has a posting for Kenner LA tree service hiring. Listed under municipal for some reason, but it is a private co. Asking for someone with own gear and doing a paid demo climb. Might get you over the hump. Good luck.

Starting pay is $18-$20/hr.

Spikeless Climbing is required. Limited removals. Majority of our work includes structural pruning, cabling, bracing, Cobra system installations, lightening protection, microinjections etc.
We are more involved in PHC and saving trees than we are removing them. Serious inquiries only. This IS a DRUG FREE WORKPLACE.
