Nice work in a tight space.

Hey Jamin I am glad there was none the clean up would have been brutal, we got tons of mango trees here, wish I had a chipper for them they can be very bulky if you don't know how to pack a truck. Thanks for the compliment it was like throwing broomsticks in a tea cup and I don't waste time I cut as big as I can. Should have shot some of the green being rigged out but with two groundies, one on the porty and one for the poles with hook to drag out and into hole no time to take photos. Paul.

Cool pics man. Nice job. I'd love to climb a mango tree

Hey Matt, a very good climbing tree lots of foothold and scaffolding limbs. First type of tree I free climbed as a boy, I am like a monkey in them. Very strong branch structure. Anytime you down this way I know of some big ones. Paul.

Great line!

I saw the back of the log load. You halved a few pieces to make them smaller. Since ripping takes longer than cross cutting why didn't you make a slab cut once the chunk was on the ground? I would do both, especially when it came time to deal with the crotch portion of the trunk. Nibble off pieces is easier.

No criticism, just wondering about your thinking.

Just halved a couple of the smaller pieces so the boys could lift them they were fairly heavy but due to lack of bar length ( left 25" and 28" at home in a morning rush )I did'nt want back and forth cross cutting with 20" bar preferrred one straight rip cut. Paul.

haha mango trees suck! i hate working those damn things. seems that every other tree i do is a freakin mango tree or a rainbow shower. the sap is like stinkin rubber on certain species and doesnt come off easy!! wood is super soft though so i makes for quick cutting if you dont have a 90CC saw :)
you should slab up that wood and make tables swingdude. mango wood is pretty exotic stuff to the tourists ;) could make a few side $$$ doing that stuff.

Josh I love climbing and cutting trees, it's work for me and I look at them as a challenge. Not all are pleasant but I also know that at the end of a job I feel a sense of accomplishment. Keep climbing my friend. By the way our species here are not overly gummy and a good sharp chainsaw eats up the wood. Paul.

Great stuff. Why the long sleeves? I was dressed like that today way up here. Is it cold in the tropics?

did you know mango dust is actually an allergenic? apparently allot of people get skin reactions similar to poisen ivy when they come in contact with mango sap and mango dust. my sister cant open a mango but can eat the fruit. she gets a bad swelling on her face when she touches an un opened mango and then touches her face.

No, but I was suspicious of this notion. So he's really sweating his balls off. Thanks, Josh. I can eat potato but it makes me congested like no tomorrow to peal them. Go figure.

Just started wearing long sleaves again lately after dealing with a bunch of sappy ficus trees ( rubber tree is one variety ) and it really does not make much difference to me heat wise. By the time I set ropes and gear up I am fully in sweat mode, plus the long sleaves saves my skin from the highly abrasive barks of numerous trees found here.Paul.
