Treework in Scotland

I like Butch, probably because he came from the old school like myself. So I understand why he takes some of the positions he does. He's not about to become a user of many new school methods discussed on these forums. You can bet on that. Butch will always rely on the tired and true methods that he knows works for him. And he receives a lot of flak from others on the forums for it.

Butch is a good treeman in his own right, old school or not. He's not to be under estimated. That man has moved a lot of bulls through the china shop with a lot of grace and a minimum of accidents.

I can honestly say, when Butch first started posting here his candor set me back a step. But after a couple years of reading his posts and responses to others I summed up that he's a very honest person, and one whose word you can take to the bank.

Like him, or loath him, he's the Master Blaster!

Good post Mr.B.

I think Butch has the kind of sense of humor that some people just don't get, personally I think he's a riot. The one liners he comes up with are great..

Pathetic!
the poker chip idea to protect the ground on the spar cut.

I'm thinking it would have been easier to cut the stubs off the tree while your in it rather than waste all that time cutting wafers and moving them into place.

And whats up with all the waist level butt cuts??

Doesn't anyone bend down anymore and cut a tree off at the ground??

Absolutely Pathetic!

And you call yourself a professional?

Just kidding buddy, nice work. I like the poker chip idea to protect the ground on the spar cut. [/quote

For the record.

I didn't read the offending post but like him or not, Butch brought a lot to the Buzz. His perspective isn't easily accepted by new school climbers but he never insisted that it should be. How many people here haven't read one of his (or one of the other old schooler's) posts at one time or another and thought, "damn, when you look at it that way..." realizing that the old school no-nonsense angle still has a lot of merit.

It takes a thick skin to see through his dry edged delivery sometimes but tree guys aren't supposed to be thin skinned sissies anyway.

Butch, Riggs, Grover, EZ and a few others go at it sometimes, big deal. As long as it doesn't drag on a long time it's kind of entertaining. Riggs' comment above is about as directly inflammatory as anything I've ever read on here and it didn't even get edited.

So MB got banned over this?

[/ QUOTE ]

If it were just that simple Jerry.

If you'd like to you can write or give me a call, we can talk in greater detail.

It is pretty simple Tom, this is a forum shared by many personalities that sometimes may not mesh.

From an occasional user's standpoint MasterBlaster's posts are no more offensive than some other's here.

If you are using some other personal information that you would like to share with Jerry in private to ban someone why can't you post it for everyone?

Isn't the forum supposed to be taken for what it is, a place to post information, idea's, and opinions?

I searched every post MB made in the last 2 month's and did the same for Grover. Please do the same research and ask yourself if this is a forum issue or a Tom issue.

my name is riggs. its real simple do it old school or yor a pansy, can you smell the coffee now?????

My name is Grover and you are a facsist chimp and I have every right to speak my mind. If you don't like it, well I don't really care.

My name is Roger Barnett. I'm marinating steaks right now for tomorrow's dinner to go with tomatoes from my garden. I just finished a $25,000 dollar job in a million dollar neighborhood using one of the USAs's best crews. Made big bucks, hee hee. My pics to follow.

Name is Mark Chisholm. I hardly ever post on my site anymore.

My name is MB. I have a suprisingly good grasp of syntax for a treeman. 4000 posts is cutting into my gypoclimbing time. 'Splain that!:)

My name is Reg Coates mate, good on ya. If you like my vids then I'm glad. And if not that's fine too because actually I don't even like climbing.

My name is Tom Dunlap. I'm trying to run a class operation here but I'm on the hot seat seat for banning MB.

My name is ArborX. Don't anybody else try and use my name, or there will be trouble. We are 4 times as busy as any other tree service on earth. I don't know if it's cuz we do such a fantastic job or maybe just lucky. PS, if you are a GOOD climber looking to earn at least $90/hr. full time, call me (but you'll have to pass a HARD test).

My name is BostonBull! I'm climbing the corporate ladder at Mayers Tree Service, the best equipped co. I've ever heard of! I can be somewhat knowledgeable but mostly just want to see if other companies are producing as much debris as us!

I'm Jamin Mayer, no relation to above. I live in Colorado and livin here keeps it all good.

My name is Blinky. I live in NC and tend to offer sound advice.

Im Tod Kramer. I like complex riggin to get it done ezily.

Jerry B. Basically unimpeachable wisdom full time.

My name is Oakwilt. I've never made any tree related posts but I can tell you Bush and the Republicans are in a huge conspiracy to bring this country down. And they caused a bird to poop on the wash hanging on my clothesline too.
