@ rope torpedo-Lacking filter....you should read your post over before you actually commit.

Just sayin,imo....which is really meaningless but this is the internet, one would assume a person pushing a product would want to come off the correct way(which you are failing at so far, again imo).

You're saying that someone has died from the rk?

I was absolutely not saying that. To my knowledge no one has ever actually suffered injury from the product.

I made a reference that metal projectiles killed people. I was alluding, too softly it seems, to bullets and other things of the like.

Mebbe a Sherrill dude can answer this: At your booth on Friday were two guys with a DeWalt battery powered ascender. (think: "Wraptor"). Cool looking gadget. Enjoyed talking with them. One was the inventor; his buddy was the fabricator. They told me they were hoping to have a rope set up to demonstrate it. Left them to their device, and came back a little later, and they were gonzo. Like, what's up with that?
This is one of the best things I've
herd in a while. Thanks for posting about this. I'm gonna risk getting punched in the face by my wife after I thank her for sending me to Florida while the expo was going on again. Gosh damn sorry I missed it this year.

Thanks Sam - I kinda got the impression from talking with those guys that they had come to your booth to get to demonstrate their product to you folks and Expo attendees.
Apart from the humongous size of the 60V DeWalt drill, the worm drive dual capstan device looked really well engineered and constructed.

Let me reiterate that it is a rare opportunity to actually talk directly to the head of any organization where the whole point of the invitation is to air grievances. No PR hack just the real people responsible for every aspect of the products, service and management.

What they did was make it easier for us to go. It still cost each of us much more. Personally it was a net financial loss and time away from family. I brought my defective product to show in explicit terms what my gripe was. All of the st crew listened and responded. It was obvious that they were there not to defend their past but to glean some insight into their customers and to gather some takeaways to help guide their future decisions.

At the expo they continued that theme. That TS had a Booth was a departure from last year. I picked up a great deal on a RW. Met Luke and Erin in person finally. As for their booth it was in keeping with the TS brand. They were the only company that had a 3D printer on the floor as well. ST on the other hand presented a slick image and gave us a taste of new products in the pipe. If you wanted to buy it could be done thru the web site like last year. Would I like to see more product on the floor? Sure, I really wanted to try on the Cloggers.

All the vendors used different approaches to get noticed and generate sales and convert new customers. I wished there was more time on the floor.

As for the RK/RA it's too expensive for me and thus has a built in barrier. It may be the greatest thing to launch a rope thru a crotch but I'm not going to take your word on it. Remember you're the salesperson for it so you have a bias. Want us to drop 6x or more than we already spend on the tool then put it in our hands. This is not the first product that has found both success and failure because of market nuances but that doesn't warrant the verbal abuse being hurled.

All In all, this is business. It is not unique to us
