This one stumped me for a bit too when I first found it. It's much more common down closer to you, but I guess that's not saying much!

There is another Nyssa also, but I'm going to save it for a while. I need to get a good summer pic of it.

That's it old oak, you're up... When I said that there was only one Nyssa that I know, what I meant was, "There's only one that I know." LOL! I wasn't suggesting there was only one species, just one in my brain!

I think it is a very narrow Genus though. I'll gett one up in the morning, camera is at work. We are beginning to use some lower growing cultivars of silverbell to get away from those contemptable Crape Myrtles!
