I have to give up my chance to play a tree since I basically took 3 guesses at once and I don't have a good one one me anyway. I defer to Rob Inia... because I admire his Lego skills.

Hey thanks Blinky, but I've got nothing so...

"It's Up To You" (link)

... or anybody else.

blinky, I have asked several times how you guys put pics in the subject body and I still cant figure it out??? i have a flikr photo gallery. Could you explain please?

Macro,
Photobucket has a direct link to post, I don't know about Flicker.
Write your post and click on "Preview Reply". Then you will see a box to "add an attachment". Add the photo and post the message. Then look at your own post and click on your own attachment and copy the url. Go into "Edit Your Post" and in the body of the message write:
[image](your copied url from the attchment goes here without the parentheses)[/image] with no spaces.

That's what I do.

There is also help for this in the FAQ at the top of the page

That sounds almost as simple as the equation at the bottom of your post. I assume that's the 'friction factor?'

Hmmm, yeah you're the second person who has admitted being perplexed by that. It didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. My bad.
Should be better now...

I'm gonna go with Quercus macrocarpa.

Wouldn't that be something?

That's cool that you found Q. alba at a nursery. I'm sure it's not impossible, but it's rare. Does your nursery (or the source) grow them from seed? In containers?

Ooops! I didn't think about GA being out of bur oaks range. I know the nursery does grow some of their own trees from seeds, but i think most are ordered. Not sure about the white oaks though. Can't understand why anyone would want to buy and plant a boxelder, but I was stunned when I found out they grow them from seeds to sell to customers.

Looks like a mulberry to me too. Surely it's not an osage orange...

I was actually only saying that because of the OP's screen name LOL!

blinky,

the top looks like some mulberries around here, but that flared base looks like a hawthorn and I've seen some messed up hawthorns with Cedar quince rust (that looks like similar to black knot, but no black knot of hawthorn so I read) .

so hawthorn.

And robinia, I thought I figured out your little signiture last week except for the numbers.

but now that you added KN, I have no idea.

you know how people post dirty symbols?

I thought the first symbol set was a bumm hole. (<->)

the second was a female reproductive area.( ^ )

the third was a male standing sideways with his member hanging down on the right side. (__/)
