The good thing about these threads is the research it inspires. I get lost poking around on the web sites I go to look up latin names on or pics for id's. I hope learn or refresh my knowledge with everyday I come on here. The harder the plant id the more I look up other trees I don't have a full understanding of. This game is a pointing tool for those who want to enrich there id skills.

I'll guess water birch or bog birch?

[/ QUOTE ]

I found 2 trees with the common name "water birch", none for "bog birch"

Judges?

I'm afraid we're going to need a botanic name.
