treeMotion Wear-n-Tear

<div class="bbWrapper">[ QUOTE ]<br /> You made the right purchase. I&#039;ve been climbing full-time in my Treemotion for two years now. Replaced the left leg loop and the bridge five months ago. No problem. <br /> <br /> [/ QUOTE ]<br /> <br /> <br /> How did you change the leg loop? I thought they weren&#039;t available &#039;til recently!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">yeah i just got a email from them. they had a problem when they first came out. it was the green ring they have fixed the problem, they said all the problem ones were fixed through recall. so if anybody has a problem contact them</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Wait, wait, wait. I started this topic almost three months ago and retired my treeMotion soon after that. The saddle&#039;s been resting on a hook in my garage since December. I&#039;ve moved on to a Glide II. It&#039;s comfortable and it can handle a big saw. I like that. I&#039;m still disappointed in the short life span that the treeMotion had for me. I don&#039;t see how anyone in the States could have come across replacement parts so recently. They&#039;ve just realized the problem. It&#039;s a great saddle and I would have loved to have kept climbing in it safely. Unfortunately that couldn&#039;t happen.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">i was in contact with honey brothers where i bought one because after reading this i was worried they assured me that the problem was solved.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">[ QUOTE ]<br /> Keep an eye on the webbing near the leg straps. <br /> <br /> [/ QUOTE ] will do thanks for the info</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">[ QUOTE ]<br /> How did you change the leg loop? I thought they weren&#039;t available &#039;til recently! <br /> <br /> [/ QUOTE ] <br /> <br /> A friend had an extra one.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">i hung of a crane today.it was the first time i used the treemotion and it was awesome very comfortable. cant wait till warmer weather.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">What do any of you guys think about the saw hanging from rear center like on the tree motion. It is different to me im accustomed to having it hang from the right side</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I only put a saw back there if I had to make a big move through a thick canopy or something like that. Occasionally I would throw a big saw back there or just hook it to a side &quot;D&quot; ring. I put my 200T on the side in a Caratool. Not the best choice but I luckily never lost a saw.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Instead of using the caritool that you run the risk of breaking, use one of these</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I use a saw lanyard . I have it hooked to rear ring on tree motion but if I have to swing or something like that I secure it to my side with a caritool most of the time when not in use it hangs its just the center ring in back is new to me</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Wow only just read this thread, being a UK based climber and frequent one of the Uk forums there has not been so much anamosity towards the TM harness.<br /> I&#039;ve been climbing on mine daily for over a year now and its in good condition, yes the buckles look very tatty the anodising is coming off the other ali hardwear, webbing is showing signs of galazing and bunching of fibres, basically the harness is looking heavily used but nothing to be concerned with certainly no broken fibres.<br /> <br /> Before purchasing mine I worked with 2 climbers who had the harness since it first came availible, I tried theirs and instantly loved it over my other 2 harnesses (Treemagic and Butterfly 2, only both of their harnesses after a little over 6 months of use showed excessive wear on the leg loops, after contacting the place of purchase they handed their harnesses back t be sent of for repair free of charge. They came back with new webbing on the leg loops, waist attachment and with new bridges plus new ali connecting hardwear that the webbing runs through.<br /> <br /> On seeing this first rate service by the manafacturer i did not hesitate in buying myself a treemotion. I&#039;ve had mine over a year now with no problems and so have the other 2 climbers, the only thing that needs replacing is the bridge.<br /> <br /> I&#039;m in no doubt that this harness will not be a durable i never did from the ofset, i don&#039;t feel decieved is obvious from its construction. I didn&#039;t buy this harnees to last me several years, its all about the motion and comfort.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Suprised this didn&#039;t take longer for every1 to realize. For those that remember this thread,<br /> <a href="http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&amp;amp;Number=87018&amp;amp;page=0&amp;amp;fpart=2&amp;amp;vc=1" class="link link--internal">http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&amp;amp;Number=87018&amp;amp;page=0&amp;amp;fpart=2&amp;amp;vc=1</a> ,<br /> I had a concern then about wearring. And now a year later the wear has cut through 1/4 way through the webbing. Had gotten messages then to push this issue, but none of the designers commented much on it. Almost hate to say it, but I told you so.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Had my TM for about a year now and happy to report... knock on wood.... that I have no issues with my saddle. I love it to death. I changed the bridge to some pretty green Tachyon and have 2 spare lengths for the future.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Anybody in the states actually purchased the leg loop replacements? I heard the reported $30 for parts was a myth and actual price was closer to $150.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I&#039;ll try to get a pic of 020&#039;s leg strap. that thing is tattered! I just got a new one and its already showing metallic glazing in exactly the same spot. I have been climbing in an original glide for almost 3 years and if it werent for it crushing my ribcage when Im dangling on my side, I would never replace it! <br /> Tm is pretty comfy though and I have a couple ideas about a fix for this problem.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Man I wish I could mine fixed, its looking pretty worn and doubt it will pass gear check..I have a Tree lex and a Glide 2.But after being in the TM I cant climb in anything else.</div>
