Treebuzz Rec climb.

That is a good deal but We all know you'll end up paying more than what that link states. If so $1850 is still a good chunk. And none of my jobs are gravy i'm out everyday grinding work out and up all night praying I have work tomorrow. But hopefully we can come up with something for everyone east, west, north, south, euro, and everywhere in between. I'm down for Redwoods I just want as many buzzers as possible for this meeting of the minds.

Yeah, but I don't think the context here is the UK for your location. And no matter where its at, travel is required. The data was not to try and prove if you could afford it. Just to show that 2K to 3K is definitely not the shoe which will fit all the rest of the people interested.

Odds are that most are coming from the USA, $800 to $1500 is really chump-change by tree industry expense standards. Any aspect of this should be able to fit some kind of business expense if someone happens to own a company as well, with room for the expense on the books. People in surrounding states could do it for less.

I know a Redwood climb would be epic I already have scheduled one in May. I'm down for anywhere I would just like to meet all the great people here and share a once in a lifetime experience. 2012 is good, gives a length of time to plan and we can plan a site. Dont let this thread fade no matter how long it takes!!

Since some people can't make it one year, and others can't make it another year, it would seem like a nice tradition if arborists could establish these kinds of epic climbs yearly. Then each year, one particular group or the other will make it happen.

I've only done a few rec climbs, but it's really the comraderie and seeing others creativity, not so much the actual climb. Why not something central that shouldn't be cost prohibitive to anyone? In my eyes it's more the people than the trees. Not that I wouldn't love to go 250' up, but I see it being more of a possibility for myself and others if it's a little more within 'reach'.

There's already a gaggle of buzzers getting together every year at Geezers in Windermere Florida.... just sayin.

Major Airports Tampa/Orlando/St Petersburg to fly into, with hub rates on flights and rental cars, and a group room rate of something on the order of $60 a night.

Not to mention ISA Certified Arborist/Municipal Specialist/Utility Specialist examinations are held on the site, the day prior to the event, while set-up is taking place, so you can get a little extra oomph for your vacation travel, if you've been meaning to test for an ISA credential.

Geezers might well be your least expensive opportunity to hang out with brothers and sisters from Tree Buzz, and it's already set up and running.

Heck, I'm in Colorado. I'll go to either coast to rec climb.

Dunno about climbing in a southern state in the summer.

Fl.in Jan. Can't see it being a nice time to climb.

What am I thinking, Fl in Jan. Awesome time to climb.

What about some of those trees you have been looking at Richard?

Scotty

and don't forget that Florida is the birthplace of a certain establishment that makes some scrumptious chicken wing varieties. therefore their food and "Service" would probably be of a higher standard. I may go just to see if there is a regional difference of 'Talent' and you know I will act like I value your opinion as well.
