i finally found a photo of my tat. above all of the leaves on top of my arm i have a forest of trees that are defoliated. i actually designed the tat prior to my obsession with arborculture.

the defoliated trees with the beautiful leaves underneith symbolize that, no matter how pretty or brilliant someone seems, when push comes to shove, when you really think about it, we are the same, constructed of flesh and bone, and blood. we are all capable of doing what others have and are doing, you just have to set your mind to that goal and except nothing less...

it also doesnt hurt that i climb trees for a living but i feel that that kinda takes away from the tattoos true meaning

"we are all capable of doing what others have and are doing, you just have to set your mind to that goal and except nothing less..."

No we are not!

Everyone is different and we can't do anything we want just because we try our hardest.

We should all try hard to become what we can, but we can't become anything we set our sights on.

If so, everyone would be Olympic athletes, rock stars and millionaires.

We have a whole generation that we've been telling; if you set your mind to it you can do anything you want. Well that's bull crap and it's nice to set high goals, but the sky isn't the limit.

People wonder why people get so down when they don't become what they would like to be.

You’re not going to become a surgical doctor if you don't have a high IQ and a very steady hand. If you were born with cerebral palsy, just because you try hard, you think you are going to be a doctor?, NO.

You’re not likely going to be the world's fastest footlock climber if you are 4 feet tall, no matter how much you practice.

Everyone might have a special skill and that is what they might be good at in life. You can't just become whatever you want, just because you give it your all.

My wife works in the school system and she dislikes that kids were being told for a while there, that they can do ANYTHING they want if they just try hard enough.

I'm not trying to be gloomy here, just real.

How long were you under the needle for that little project? I would love to get a full sleeve, but I know that's unrealistic, I'll settle for something I can cover with a shirt when I deal with little old lady Jones.

so far its taken about 15-20 hours and some pretty good scratch but im friends with the tattooist so i get a great deal at a whopping 150bucks an hour

as far as dealing with customers, i actually catch more compliments then anything, but then again i guess they wouldnt openly say negative things about it in front of me. im very personable and as long as im able to get at least 2 words out of my mouth they realize that im not the "tough and tumble" tattooed type but rather they view me as extremely passionate about my profession.

as for everything else, there are enough things holding us all back, if you choose to believe that your mind is limited and you are too then thats on you, i dont. no reason to argue or fight but so far ive achieved everything ive wanted.

its called optimism guys and im gushing it almost always
