Tree Question From San Diego

You guys a' wicked smaaat.
This kind of ornamental pruning and tree management is so cool to me.
I love that one can work WITH how a tree grows in an effort to get it the tree to REPSOND how one desires it to, as opposed to just FORCING the tree/shrub into desired shapes or size by slamming pruning cuts into the thing on a regular and frequent basis.
Very cool stuff.

Expensive perhaps, relatively. Unnecessary? That is up to the owner to the side. Jeff, you and I are just bozos on the bus. We don't get to say what size the tree should be. We do not own the trees. All we can say is what the tree can be.and that is best done with an open mind.

Jeff I am so glad to hear from somebody that has worked on Tipus, expensive and unnecessary is a great description.

Do you have the tears of heaven on your tipus? I believe that it is honeydew from a psyllid. In Argentina everything is covered by it in the spring.
