Tree Preacher and Teacher - call if you need encouragement and prayer

Caleb,

I remember reading this a year ago and praying for your son and your family. How are things going now?
Zeb is doing great! Thanks for your prayers and well wishes. Zeb receives an MRI every three months now and so far the place where the tumor was, is filling in. The chemo damaged his ears permanently, so Zeb has hearing aids. He still relies on a g-tube for most of his nutrition. Zeb hasn't learned to walk yet, but he has made some great progress and he had a great physical therapist. A week ago he said, "I wuv woo" for the first time, something I never thought I would get to hear. We are blessed for sure.

Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers!

Hallelujah? I saw this thread for the first time yesterday and it deeply effected me. I am overjoyed to hear Zeb is doing better, and I’m praying for his continued progress.
Thanks Rico,

Zeb recently turned two and he has been through more than I have in my thirty three years. I believe God has a purpose in all of this, if only to cause us to trust Him more. There were times when we didn't think we could get through another day without a complete mental breakdown, Zeb's suffering was unspeakable. God gave us peace when we least expected it and His timing was perfect.

Alright, I'll end the preaching. Good night.

That made me shed a tear, man. We recently had a huge scare with our 16 month old. Luckily it was very mechanical, small object stuck in her second bronchial branch of her left lung. I cannot imagine what your going through, but can imagine that those were the sweetest words you have ever heard!

Hardship and suffering are powerful forces. For whatever reason Zeb is one of those individuals thats has been chosen to endure, and show those around him how amazing he is. Enjoy watching your boy grow, and realize you are witnessing someone special.
