Anyone mess around with the TreeStuff Tree-o-cache?

I set one out last spring, pulled it during hunting this winter, since I knew if a hunter seen it, it would have been shot down. Finally had a chance to get it set yesterday. This is Cache #46, its about a mile hike in, but is an easy climb.

Did Cache #53 last fall. That one has a short, easy walk with a good climb, bucket is set at about 80', was quite the challenge with a 150' rope.

I participated the first year and I set a cache this year. I like the concept and who doesn't like free gear after a climb. I hope they continue doing this each year. It feels like the old tree stuff when they do things like this.

I love this idea. I want the one in the so-cal area this year. Maybe do others if I travel.
I am interested in setting one up here in the mountains.
How did you go about setting one?

Enjoyed the one you set, @Santiago Casanova ! Although, it was right atop the path, lol. The joggers were a little jumpy when they saw my rope sitting there and I had to take care to not drop any dead wood on the strollers, etc. Nice forest southern live oak with several branches near the cache.

I tried to pick a spot where one could access the cache without just hanging next to it. It is nice to have a perch while looking through the cache. It did work out to be over the trail, but at least nobody is destroying brush to access the cache.

I got to one in Mt. Dora and it was a hike through woods. I was exhausted by the time I got to the tree and then had to climb 70'. I wanted to make the one I set a little more fun and easy for those climbing solo. the Mt. Dora cache was good, just not fun to do in the middle of the summer.

Just email treestuff and let them know you want to set one for them. I was tired of not having one near by and the Mt. Dora cache was lost so I decided to offer my services.

Yeah That's how I got involved. We went to find one and it wasnt there, so I offered to put one out and be more dedicated. I check on it a few times during the summer. I think I had 8 visitors last year, but it is very off the beaten path.

Tree cache 14 blew away shortly before I could get to it.

I've visited Tree 18. Got a Reep Schnur prusik loop:

Opened Tree 26 cache to find it filled with several inches of frozen water. What swag was left was submerged in a block of ice:

Went looking for Tree 16 but couldn't find it. Suspect a local removed it.

Tree caches 17, 50 & 63 are on my list for this year, and maybe 27 as well.
