Tree Job.com

Does anyone here know anything about these guys at TreeJob.com? They have ask me to become one of their "contractors", but I know nothing about them. They are out of Marietta, GA

This is from their site

"Premium Service

Tree Removal
All necessary equipment is given access to your yard via the most efficient route possible. Shrubbery will be removed if access or work zone is blocked. The lawn may have large ruts and some grass may need to be replanted following the job.

Coarse (Safety) Pruning
Dead, diseased or obviously weak branches two inches in diameter or greater will be removed. Trimming is done with the use of climbing spikes."

Is this a referral service you'd like representing you?

The same concerns jumped out at me when I looked at their website. We do a moderate amount of storm related work, and it's within that context that they've ask me to participate in their "storm response program". Certainly their "local" work is of no interest to me. Has anyone on here had any direct experience with them?

Here is a link to their vid. On their website they list ISA member, Cert arb, they also have ctsp and accreddi tci but they arent marked.

Their videos show it all

missing ppe
no chaps
climbing with just safety lanyard
drop startiung saw 1 handed on ground

these are just a few.

I watched the video and had to stop watching the guy on spurs one hand cutting at thigh level while pushing the spar piece with the other hand..seems he was doing that because no one taught him to make a face cut then make a back cut and you do not need to do that...this is why learning correctly and continuing to learn and be safe is so important.

They called me saying another employee of theirs had given them my name and that I had told them I was interested in running a crew for them.

I asked the fellow why were they calling me making up this kind of crap?

That climber's saw use is going to catch up to him sooner or later, not to critisize, I am not perfect, and no 2 points of attachment cutting was beyond me, even with a steel lanyard

I've just finished watching all of the videos, even the "Making the Cut" preview (soon to be in theaters everywhere). This is the best stuff I've seen since ole' Paul Nosak, heck it'll probably be on TLC soon.
They've invited me to a little "meet and greet" BarBQ on Saturday the 30th and I think I'm going to go just for the fun of it. It should be quite entertaining to meet these "professionals" in person. I'll keep you posted.

Oops, it seems I missed one video. Have you seen the one with the big Morbard chipper, blowing the chips straight back at the infeed chute? They're definately not fans of eyewear or hearing protection (clumbersone things, who needs em', huh what'd you say?). I have a feeling the BarBQ might be better than an early 80's Saturday Night Live.

Get some video for us showing all their top guys. Have fun and eat a little extra before you tell them where to go.

It seems on tree buzz, anyway, we all do our job as best and as safe as we can, we aren't perfect, we all make the odd safety infraction, on purpose or not. But I don't think I would post a promo video without showing anything but safety, clearly knowing all the arb sites will critisize it. Don't harp on the guy it's not as bad as 'Nosak's saws for hire', (yeesh). I think a positive suggestion to the company might help. Hear about enough accidents as it is. If you do meet up with these chaps Wheelloder123, give'em a heads up in the right direction. We all started somewhere.... Is this an established company?
