Tree guys with website for their company

Matt Pond PA, 'It becomes night,' off of the album titled 'The Green Fury.' He's from PA but has local ties to RI.

The reason that all the pages open in new windows is so I don't interrupt the song LOL. I wish I knew how to have it run in the background!

Put my content together myself.

There are 170 individual web pages on my site. About 10 of those are services or testimonial related. 16 are image album pages with about 700 photographs combined.

That leaves over 100 web pages with landscape or tree care tips, and outdoors related contet.

Right now, there are between 1100 to 1785 page views per day for all pages combined.

Highest traffic on any year tends to be the month of May, which this year brought a May 17th peak of 1833 page views on 5/17. About twice that of 2009. I'm estimating a peak of 2000 page views per day May 2011.

Its sort of a hobby for me as well.

Wow that is impressive.

Edgar's DIY first time website is great. My first time (and only time) construction of a website, could probably have been graded a "D". Sure, I thought it looked good and the content was good, but after I had a professional re-do my website, I quickly realized I was way out of my league.

There is nothing wrong with DIY websites. In fact a lot of time, pride, creativity, and hard work go into them. But, I believe if we use a professional (for webdesign & content building) our investment will yeild a greater return.

And I understand that it is better to be online than not to be online as a business...

I have reaped the benefits of having a professional re-do my site. I would advise it strongly for any tree service business.

I used Volume Up Marketing.

If I could show ya all what my old site looked like, I'd do it. But, here is my current site.

Content: Me. Design: Me. Building the site: Done by an old friend. Updating is done by myself. It's a hassle to do. Changing the pages on my computer with Seamonkey, save, open the gFTP upload program, than carefully copying the changed pages and... Done. www.treespotter.com

My girlfriend is using a web based program to run her web shop. The whole site content en design was done by herself and the program is a piece of cake to work with. www.birdfeeder.nl
