Tree Austria 3.1 Saddle

it isn't fall arrest doesn't come with a fall arrest link on suspenders and the suspender attachment points are junk imo. i had to modify mine. just went back to the tm. although the tm could be alot better, i personally think it is the best saddle on the market. things i don't like about the ta3 and bf2 the bridge attachment points don't adjust. the saddles are made to flimsy for production work. things to like about the ta3 and the bf2 they are LIGHT weight and very supportive. the bridges are solid and don't feel like you could cut through them on accident with a handsaw. the buckles are nice and feel heavy duty. i think the next generation tm will have wider heavier duty webbing, better buckles, and highly cut resistant bridge that comes in different sizes. maybe a fall arrest option.

I climbed on a tree Austria 3 the other day and it was incredibly painful. with the leg straps tight or loose I couldn't get the weight to balance between my back and legs(all in legs). I was exhausted by lunch. I like the quick draw attachments on the bridge and the dorsal option. but something was missing in the design. sticking with the TM

I agree that the 3.1 version looks worst than the original one. Looks like the webbing is a lot thinner in the new one. Glad I waited before buying it, my TM still has a few months in it and it looks like I will be buying it again.

Re: Mark C - Tree Austria 3.1 Saddle

so just to claryify. If i wear the suspenders and the TA 3.1, I can safely operate out of a manlift or bucket? Can i use this for the footlock in competition?
