Trango cinch

The system that I showed is for ascent only on SRT. When I get to my TIP I lanyard in and change over to a working system. Look in the "Booty haul from Long Beach" for the Unicender.

I've spent some time trying to figure out what hitch/cord combo works for SRT. I haven't found a real good combo yet. I know there is one out there though. If you're interested, use the New England Ropes HRC cord for starters. You can work through a hitch until you get one that works. Always tie stopper knots below your hitch in case the hitch slips.

I'm using SRT. Since my climbing line does not move across the limb/crotch, I'm not use a cambium saver. For DbRT, I've used one, and, in that case, I don't generally unite my hitch, unless I need to for some reason.

No. I've used it several times now without any problems at all with my climbing line. While the line curves slightly through the cinch, it less than the curve incurred when loaded into a grigri. See attached.

diagram showing descent.

On edit, I just wanted to mention that the handle being held by the left hand in the picture works very well. You can descend veeerrrrrry slowly or drop like a rock (Of course, I dont' know why you'd want to do that...)

I want one!!!
But there is no supplier in Holland and shipping from the States will probably cost a fortune. Is there anyone "willing /forum/images/graemlins/handkiss.gif and able" that can take one with him to the European TCC?
