I’ve never done work for a city. Some I think require you to have a bucket yea?

How would you go about getting your foot in the door? Is there a process of getting approved to even be considered?

I primarily focuses on pruning / trimming, not removal.

I don't know about requiring a bucket truck but it helps.
As far as getting a foot in the door I was introduced by me wife's grandfather who use to work for the city. But being an active member of the community helps, offering to donate time to fairs or festivals, donations to city based charity events and such help. A little philanthropy goes a long way. Most city gigs are not big money makers FYI on a tree by tree basis but you'll make it up in volume and all the exposure is worth it.

well said. As soon as I shifted my mine to this, the happier and more well fed I became.
