So, I've just completed a 3 month long consulting contract in Niagara region and I am in purgatory at the moment. I've been climbing/working in the industry for near 7 years now.. ISA Certified.

For the last two years I've run my own small residential pruning and consulting business and sub contracting to handle larger removals as a climber. I'm wondering if there are any mid sized companies out there looking to hire a climbing arborist part time. I have two children that I adore and love spending time with.. at most I could offer 3-4 days a week.

I can handle pretty much anything you can throw at me.

I'm not looking to work for Lazy Tree Care (Davey) or any other large city sub contractor, my principles would never allow it.

Just testing the waters.

I'm looking to hire a climber

Hey, treeman! Did you ever respond to the questions that were put to you in an earlier thread about what kind of operation it is that you run? It's a serious question; if you did, could you post a link to the thread? All of these things I'm saying to you are called "buying signs". You have to give your customers (in this case, prospective climbers) a reason to want to buy the thing that you are offering in the market place.

@ROYCE said it best in this post in another thread.

Did you ever respond to Royce in any meaningful way?

@Drewtree, Are you able to cross the border into the US in order to do work? There is at least one member of this forum who operates out of the Western New York area. I can't recall his screen name to save my life, right now, and I don't know if he's in need of any help right now or not. I just thought he might be a possibility.

We operate one of your large city sub contractor companies , not sure of what you mean by that comment, we employee 180 employees and I will admit that not all are great tree guy/gals but we have some very good tree people and climbers and I will but them against anyone at any job. Not saying there are people out there that are good working in our area either , just think that is a very ignorant statement made by someone who has only been around 7 years

Ignorant to say that I don't want to work for a large outfit based on principle?

I've had some pretty awful experiences with larger sub contractors, primarily davey so forgive me for appearing to paint you all with the same brush.
