Tornado Today

Looks to be lots of work removing downed trees in my area after the tornado today. After running one errand, went by Walmart to get a couple of plastic storage bins for chainsaw parts and supplies. Had to shelter there for an hour. Saw the tornado while standing in the Walmart entrance. It wrecked a bunch of large homes less than a mile away. Fortunately, it dodged my house even though the hook pattern on the radar went right over my house. Tragic that lives were lost.

I've been making weekly trips to UAB hospital and will be up there Sunday/Monday. That slot seems to catch a lot of tornados.

Was doing some landscaping for a friend today. Took a few pics while driving back home. That's a lot of removals in a few seconds. Storm was moving at 50 mph.

Wow, that is a lot of damage! We had a massive tree come down across the road and take out all the wires two doors down from where I was today, but that’s nothing compared to what you’ve got there! Sure puts things in perspective.
