That has been a challenge here in NJ too, Treevet, finding a PT that is actually able to deal with our type of work environment requirements. When I lived in Ontario, WC had their own rehab hospital that was much better focused on the variety of workplaces and needs of employees. Too bad it fell to budget cuts.

Small point here for edification of all.
You did pay much more than a dime. In Canada 'healthcare' is paid out of our taxes. And we pay a healthy portion of our earnings to taxes in one form or another.

Whenever I visit the U.S. people always say " you're Canadian, free healthcare must be nice". Well people, nothing is free. It's just here we share the cost like Communists. And I love it.

big dif is many are getting all the services you get....and they pay absolute nothing....but they CAN vote.

Treevet, that is the mark of a civilized society. Their vote is rather small too. They are a small minority and as it stands, while the numbers may not vary the actual people in the program do. One of the problems is subsistence jobs with little or no training But there are many successes, of which I am one and I've worked to get other off of it too. Maybe, just maybe there's a correlation between crime and a strong social safety net too...hmmmm....

I used to be an avid cyclist so I thought it would be a good time to get back into it. My knee would pop something fierce with little down pressure even on flat terrain. I would just though the motion so it wouldn't pop. After months of doing this I was slowly able to ride with both legs peddling.
Treehumper, the doc was actually very credited. My wife is a nurse and asked around about him and had a good reputation with the doctors she works with. It was a hard learning lesson. This was my first bad internal tissue injury but I now know how to go about it next time. Hopefully there won't be a next time but this is a rough industry.

Maybe, just maybe there's a correlation between crime and a strong social safety net too...hmmmm....

Yeah. In my experience, those who receive the most "help" from those safety nets commit the VAST majority of the crime.

Well, Bucknut, what I was thinking is the difference between Canada and the US. Canada has what is considered a strong social safety net and lower crime rates.
