Topping at 200+ ft

Brian, I cant see much merit in having only a 120 ft line, when youre perched at over 230 ft.

would have to climb down to 110 just to swap for a bigger saw.

If you dont want branches snagging your rope, dont aim them that way. Thats what I did. fully extended rope, snug against the tree is not hard to avoid, and quite difficult to snag in fact.
 
Good point Reg, communication and patience is key.

That HH is really the king when it comes to larger conifers, great point Murph. A steel carabiner is preferred on that spliced end of the climb line?

That's true Reg, it might be small and compact but 120 ft would get used up real fast, and I'd be up a tree without enough rope!

Right Reg, rope management, very important. I've never used a chainsaw over 200' but when I do, I'm going with 250ft coiled on my saddle pre rigged with the HH. If the limbs weigh only a few pounds, I would let the rope hang down the backside of the trunk... with any real weight I wouldn't trust my aim Reg.

The chest mount footage looks fine, at least it catches the action.
