Top getting cut in Super Slow Motion 300 FPS

I asked about the single tie in and the screw-gate biner also for clarification. Then I made a simple statement "...it can be done safer..."

Check some of my posts (especially in Awakenings)! You will see that I do live in a glass house. I have made rude comments to people on this board from time to time. However, I was not being rude to you.

I'm not saying you can't do it that way, but why would you? Do you actually expect anybody to hear what you're saying when you get in their face like that? If you genuinely want them to think about what you're saying, be a leader... if not, be a prick. Either one's OK but pissing people off for your own amusement is no improvement on backpedaling.

...and I've got a few kilt wearing friends you definitely wouldn't call sissies unless you wanted to bleed a lot.

DanielSon,

I asked about your usernames because I didn't know for sure whether that was actually you. I thought we had a 1-800-Tree-Expert username on Treebuzz before so I was just crosschecking. Perhaps it seemed as though I was mocking you because it was phrased as a question? Certainly not my intention.

Taylor,

Fair enough. If I was mistaken on the interpretation, then I stand corrected.

Its good to not have bad blood.

Point noted

I have had my saw ripped VIOLENTLY from my side more than once, I hope to never experience that a 3rd time.
When it happened to me the 1st time, I came off the spar and slid about 4 feet before stopping myself with my face and chest against the tree.
The saw (attached with ROPE) ripped at the harness but not before ganking me off and down the pole.
I am VERY lucky My steel core lanyard was cinched up relatively tight so I didn't slide all the way down, leaving bits of my pretty face along the spar.

When people point these things out to you, consider them part of the solution, not part of the problem.
Its usually out of love, not condescending criticism.

The videos are awesome by the way.
Way better than any of the crap I have put up here.

Hmm..... No praise was wanted. It was just showing you something cool.

I had my 200T get stuck in the kerf on a 3 foot chunk a month or so back. The piece was pretty small in diameter so it didn't jerk me too hard.it fell and hung attached to my saw. I use a break away lanyard and it wasn't heavy enough to break the lanyard but it did bend my saw chain to the point that it was unusable. 4" mismatched snap cut. I knew better.

The guy who taught me how to do crane work would not let me tie the saw off to myself when working. He made me use an 038 the whole climb when working with the crane. I asked him what if I dropped the saw? He said he'd rather lose a saw than see me ripped in half.

Bless his soul, he died about 10 years ago in a crane accident.
