I'm guessing squirrel nestsThat is a beauty. Is that mistletoe in the extremities?
Not mistletoe or nests, just small broken hung up branches- probably from the hurricane we had last fall. That is a beauty. Is that mistletoe in the extremities?
About half was the cedar- it’s about 15 yards of chips totalIs that pile of chips the red cedar?? I can smell those chips from here! That oak is a stud of a tree.
Now that is fine arb work Sir. My kind of gig minus the cold weather. Lol.View attachment 86220
A co-worker took this photo of me earlier this week. We pruned and cabled 7 such sugar maples on the property over 3 days. All focused on hazard mitigation and tree preservation. I used less than a tank of saw fuel during the whole project.

I remember working with tires like that more regularly. A co-worker named Seamus was trying to break the bead on one as the boss walked in. Bass saw how “well” it was going and looked to me to ask “What rim?”…as if there would be nothing left of it when Seamus was done. Nothing like a good tub of tire soap to make the whole job a lot easier! The new chip truck needed one of the front tires replaced. It was worn beyond legal limit. We decided to tackle it as we have mounted many 11r22.5s with spoons but never a float. It went well but man that tire is heavy.

Where did you get the solo rigging equipment? So for a long time, standard practice in my area was to top the tallest fir around and install a TV antenna, which mostly picked up broadcasts from Canada. Sometimes that created regrowth nightmares, but this was one of the better/more manageable ones. I was just in this tree to remove a few limbs that were practically touching the house, but thought it was a fun photo. Hit that shot at about 90' and base-tied to a nearby fir.

Nice score Sean. One of these days I’ll give in and get chickens.A new homeowner doesn't want this nice coop and chicken run that are sorta in the way of some removal work.
Moved this to my house with the help of the mini, wincing it on with a trucker strap (didn't have the winch handle with me). View attachment 86417View attachment 86418View attachment 86419
