The Tree Buzz Cafe

Actually, come to think of it, can we have a rope/knot testing bed? We can test all sorts of ropes, do independent testing comparing manufacturers ropes. And here's the best part. There's be a vertical testing bed where the top anchor there'd be a big log for us to test different types of slings and knots that we use when rigging down big wood.

So I guess I want a big testing lab. We would have mettalurgists on site to help us design chainsaw teeth.

And there'd be many masseuses. That's what you need after a days work. A good massage.

Shoot bro, not me! I'd do it in a second! After all, it's just a tree!

Good chuckle Keith :)

Did you know that the pattern for the dartboard came from the end of drying elm logs? Look at the radial pattern and it will match the dart board. Same for the single and double rings.

In one story I read it said that Roman soldiers would practice throwing short arrows in place of spears at log ends. It doesn't seem like a long jump to darts as we know it.

Any other arbo games we need to plan for?

Would need a high ceiling, but instead of darts, you could hang a bit of limbage and score points for variously threading a throw-line.

Corn Hole!

Here's the boxes/ramps you pitch to/in.

Eric E and I were in Ohio for the Bunyan Show when we learned of it. At the end of the booth set-up day, someone asked me to be their "cornhole partner". I said no thanks dude, I aint like that! Someone said the same to Eric and he said "you don't say thyat to someone from Jeresy/PA!"

Anyway, they brought out these boxes, 8 corn-filled bean bags and bang, we're playing. It's like horseshoes except you can play it anywhere. There's no pins or pits and the shoes won't hurt or damage anything. Cool concept. They said that it is real big in universities and bars around Ohio.

I came home and built a set for $25 worth of goods and brought it to my Bro's for his Oktoberfest. They were being used until the late night hours. When it got dark, we moved them under the lights. You can even play it indoors if the ceiling is high enough. Kids loved it. And no worry of a a few stitches either.

I've tended bar several times over the years. One of my wildest gigs was at a strip club, it was cool.
