The Case of the knotted squirrels

So I was climbing a silver maple yesterday, when I was surprised by a squirrel only 4 feet from my face. "No big deal", I thought. Then I noticed there were 3 squirrels, hanging upside down, from there tails! Yep, I came across 3 squirrels, with there tails in a knot around a small limb. They looked as though they had been like this for some time. So being the nature lover I am, I cut off the limb and lowered it to the ground where they could be freed. But the knot was so tight and bound up it was impossible to untie them. So my old pal Felco saved the day once more.... There are now 3 squirrels with short tails living in Carlisle PA. Has anyone ever found anything like this before. And of course there are pics....they will be uploaded as soon as I receive them.

That is crazy. Did some mean kid do that? How could that have happened without some mean kid...who climbed way up into a tree to tie 3 squirrels tails to a branch...you're right that doesn't sound likely. What the heck!

Bob told me about this and I figured it must've been someone tied their tales together then chucked them up into the tree. It seems though that they got their tales wrapped around the branch. That is weird....

That's unbelievable! Two squirrels getting tails tied in a knot is amazing in itself, but to have three. Freakin wow! If you climbed that tree a couple days later we would be talking about this. After they died, they would've been picked at by crows and gone forever.

You know those shoes that hang from telephone wires?...I like to do that to squirrels
