First mod I did was the muff. Took out the screen/s then drilled out the opening to enlarge and adjusted the carb. I had one modded further that was stolen and it had timing advanced and limiters pulled which I had done but you can find how to do on youtube. I am considering having one of mine ported. Great saw with just the muff gutted tho.

I have found seems you can only get the homeowner's type safety chain for it. Right out of the box I put it on my Stihl HOS grinder and just feathered down the rakers a tad....huge improvement. I carry mine on my saddle with the stihl strapped snap that is long enough to make a cut sometimes still on the saddle or I will cut and attach it to the front of my saddle to get rid of it in a hurry sometimes. This saw is almost magical to me, I adore it.

I've just decided to take a drill to the exhaust slot, thanx. Screen is already gone. I'll try filing down the rakers too.
One fiddy sweetness will be king of canopy cuts!
