Anything north of the Alamo is Yankee (Yanqui).

Hahaha!

When Iwas working in New Orleans I was told by NOLA residents that anyone from north of I10 was a Yankee. Then I was told by friends from Baton Rouge that their northern neighbors were all Yankees.

I'm living in Dallas now.

How are ya Bill??!

Other than the obvious, he's not welcome back here where he wasn't really from in the first place. Although like anyplace, there are people of all walks and styles within the Lone Star State.

I met more cowboys in Calgary than here, more sailors here than Nantuckett. There are a lot of flyers here, some ranchers use helicopters to round-up range beef, other's to shoot Golden Eagles from. On the same token we're the highest use wind-generated electrical power state. In spite of being west of the hundreth meridian, we're 1/4th hydro-electric powered! Host the world's foremost cancer research center, and suffer the highest obesity rates. More than one-half of the population isn't white Anglo-saxon, and the richest endowed university in the world (thank oil wells). We have an original Gutenburg Bible alongside the most active and largest freedom-from-religion organization in the world. More than 100 mountain peaks over a mile high, and host the former world's largest shrimping fleet. Also we manufacture more atomic triggers for nuclear warheads than all the world governments combined.

In addition to all that, the longest-serving third-party Socialist state and national legislators, progressive representatives than any other state. Republicans have only had representation here in the last ten years (out of a hundred)and from the registration roles filled-out for the primaries, they're not going to ever again.
