I know this is a real longshot...
I am visiting family in the Philadelphia area for Christmas, and am wondering if any of you buzzers in that area might want/need/be interested in letting me join up with you for a few days or a week between December 26-30. I imagine during that week work is either slow for most of you all, or you're taking that week off, as my company down here in Chattanooga, TN is. But, if by chance you needed an extra hand, I'm a willing and able arborist who would be grateful for the chance to "step outside my own backyard" and learn how other people operate, and possibly to make a little extra money for the holidays.
I know, it's a longshot.
I can tell you in more detail about myself if you're interested, but here's the quick rundown:
ISA Certified Arborist SO-6546A
Production Climber for local tree service since July of this year (2011)
Landscaping foreman/arborist&climber for a small liberal arts college (2008-2011)
Gardener at UC Berkeley (2006-2008)
I am a proficient climber. I won't say I'm the most efficient, however. I have a long way to go. I am a better pruner (without spikes) than I am a removal guy, but I've done both, including some technical rigging and crane assisted removals.
I have my own rope&saddle (and all necessary PPE), and can bring my climbing saw too, if need be.
Even if you just need someone to drag brush or rake - I'm game. I love treework, and simply want to meet some other treeworkers and see how you guys get it done day to day.
Thanks for reading. PM me if you have any questions.
