Tell me something stupid you did!

Unfortunately, I work too often with guys who can do their job well and 'efficiently enough', so long as I tell them every step. Planning and efficiency go out the window if I say to do what they think they should do.

Yesterday, after telling the groundman to move the OSB off the 6-8" tall rocks where it was a little bit of a wall/ ramp, before the house, and put chunks behind it to stand it up, so I could chunk down wood onto a crash-pad, as we had gotten too low to rig over tall rhododendrons.

While trying to be sure everything is being done, I forgot to check that the groundman had done as instructed. He was standing there by the OSB, waiting for the next chuck. I chunked it on to the crash pad, and we both watched it tumble off the crash pad, right up and off the ramp, not wall, and into the house. Minor trim dent and siding paint damage.

I guess that's why I tell everyone to we do 'Call and Respond, All Day' Every Day'.

Nobody needed to say anything. I know he realized he didn't do what what delegated to him, and I didn't see that he didn't.

I am guessing by your handle that you are a religious man? Christian? Are your opinions on gay marriage based on your religion? Negative consequences?

Here we goooo
Chaplain put it out there that he was against gay marriage. Fair enough. In America Chaplain has the freedom to follow any God and religion he choses, form whatever opinions he choses, and voice those opinions. I am actually curious to hear his answers, and these seem like some fair and honest questions.

If ya don't like the show Mowerr you have the freedom to change the fucking channel!

Ya I know. And I have the right to comment however I want. Have you really become that sensitive? Come on man

I am simply trying to understand how and why Chaplain has formed his opinion concerning gay marriage.
You made a comment as to where this thread was headed. I made a comment concerning your comment. You then commented on my comment. Now I am somehow sensitive? OK then.

Yea you used to not be like this. Back in the day you wouldn't give a shit about that sentence. I've always like what you write and I didn't mean any harm toward u. Idc where the thread goes really.

Answered your question re my comment re die hard Hillary supporters because of your doubts my statements were possible. If want to start a new thread go ahead but thread hijacked enough.

Not really keen to stoke a fire like this proposed discussion. Maybe leave it till after Easter? Maybe not stoke it at all on treebuzz? Maybe do a poll first?

Sound reasonable to me Chaplain and I appreciate the response. Happy Easter to you buddy!

Hugs! Now let’s all hide those gay Easter eggs... it’s kinda like saint patties day where every one is Irish. So easter must be one big orgy celebrating fertility, one must wear rainbow and pastels because of you don’t, I wouldn’t expect getting a wee pinch..

From a few years ago: I had a friend be my groundie. He's a rock climber and smarter than I so figure he could help with some rigging and get some $. Tip tie a good sized maple log after a few smaller ones assuming he has it figured out, and I fuck up. Did not have a seasoned ground guy, did not spell out everything, didn't explain "let it run" and....he locks up the piece and it swings around to smack my foot. Broken big toe and that is it. Super lucky, thank you steel toe boots, apologies for putting him in that situation, should have rigged differently. Sometimes doing a budget tree for a friend with a friend turns into crutches.

I have been telling myself that there is no way I would ever do anything dumb enough to justify posting it on here. Yeah, right. It came back to bite me on the arse today. I have a girl friend over on another island with some absolutely incredible trees on her property. She invited me over for Easter Sunday and said I could climb some of them if I wanted to. I have been waiting to hear that! I grabbed an armload of rope and kit, tossed some pale ale into a small cooler, and got ready to head out. I got to the truck and then needed to run back and get my keys to unlock it and also lock up the house. So I do that, jump in, and go. Now her place is a $28., 30-minute ferry ride, plus about an hour's driving, away. So, later I finally get to her home, park, and look over to see absolutely nothing in the truck seat beside me. The sodding cooler and my climbing gear was sitting back beside my driveway where my truck had been. (Actually, I still had a good time because she is a great cook and cobbled together a really tasty Easter dinner for us).
