Telescopic versus articulated tracked lifts

We are currently in the market for a tracked lift, my question for those of you that run them is what are the biggest working differences between the articulated boom and the straight telescopic boom. Is one easier for maneuvering around the tree than the other? We are looking at the Omme 2750RXJ 90' and the Teupen TC92SJ-98'. Thanks for any info on this!

I'm interested too JM.

If you copied your post and put it over in "Rubber hits the road" it's possible more of the right people will see it to answer.

I'm also wondering if Omme delivers their lift without the battery option at a reduced cost.

I felt like articulating was a little easier to maneuver but telescopic felt more stable to me. I’ve only used JLG, and my use with them is pretty limited so take that for what it’s worth. I preferred a bucket truck

I believe it can be ordered that way if I remember right, I was looking at that option because we also have a field house it will get used in occasionally. I will be contacting them soon to see what the cost difference is without the battery - after talking with a few people it sounds like the tier 4 diesels are clean enough I don't need to worry too much with the air quality issue I was expecting. I will post when I have the numbers.
