TCIA Picture Post

No, actually I don't, we were just so bored sitting in the airport, we needed something to do ("Hey, I think the frisbee I got at the expo is in my backpack...") lol. The guys were really getting into it, and it was more fun watching them so I was just taking pictures and watching for most of the time.
The best part was the fact that the first two security guards that saw us didn't really say much other than stay out of the hall, the third guy was the one to end the game, and by that time it had been going on for a good hour.
Gotta love airport security.

I've played in tournaments in Madison--isn't that where Cooler Classic is?

I didn't start playing until I was relatively old for the sport, and I only played for about five or six years. My wife played for 10 or 11 years and was very good. She played on a college team that finished in the top ten (nationally) the four years that she was on the team and she played on a club team that came in second at Worlds.

Sweet!! That was my favorite part!

TC,

I walked passed you guys in the airport :) When I started down the concourse I saw the Frisbee flying and I thought 'Great, now I'm going to get clocked by some knuckleheads...I'm going to have to put on a helmet' But as I walked down I could see that there wasn't a missed throw or catch :) Too bad I didn't know that it was a group of arbos.

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing a few people walk by that were wearing tree shirts. You could've joined in the game! Haha

And I do have to say they were doing pretty good, only a few missed catches the whole time. And only one incident with the frisbee sliding into someones feet...

I am sure that we would get a special room all right and maybe our own special silver bracelets too. (unless they use the zip ties instead).

I'll share a Nick Arraya story just in case he doesn't wander into this thread. I hope I get the story right...

He was flying and found that his gear was a pound or two heavy. He pulled out some things to put in carry-on. His helmet went on his head for convenience. When he got to the security checkpoint the TSA person gave him a look and asked about the helmet. In true Nick style,he replies, "I feint occasionally."

He was brushed right through :)

Do you mean 'flex cuffs' Tim?

I seriously thought about wearing my helmet on the plane on the way home, simply because I wasn't sure if I was going to have enough room for it in either of my bags.
At least I wouldn't have been the first one! =)
