synthetic 2cycle oil

I was in the saw shop the other day replacing the last of the equip they took out of my truck while working the ice storm in Tulsa (thats another story) and the saw doctor said that synthetic 2 cycle oil really lengthens the life of a saw. Is anybody running it and if so could you tell me how its working.

I have been running Stihl Ultra oil since before it was available to the general public. The top end looks wonderful after near 2 years of hard use. The bottom end looks like it is brand new. This is a near smokeless and odorless oil, as well as being biodegradeable.

Dont run it richer than 50:1. I tried a 40:1 mix in a stock saw and it just carboned/gummed up the top end like you wouldnt believe! Real Nasty......

Good Luck!

Well I've ran Stihl,TSC whatever all at 32 to 1 .Recently I did a mod on an 038 Av I've ran that way for two years .That top end was clean as a whistle ,no burn on the exhaust, nothing wrong what so ever .I've got a 125 Mac the same way.How many 30 year old saws can you say that about .
