Swivel with Lock Jack

A while ago I used a Petzl swivel on my Butterfly for clipping the Lock
Jack. After using it for a while I found that the swivel made for more
twisting than without. Sure, it was easier to untwist with the swivel but I
rarely spiraled the LJ before.

Now I'm wondering about using a one of the DMM aluminum swivel biners. I
would put the eye through the webbing and clip the LJ. This would eliminate
the biner between the two. One less link in the chain.

Does anyone else use a swivel on thier saddle? What are your experiences?

I bought a Butterfly saddle in Mil.
Brought it home cut off the webbing and sewed on a new strap with the Petzl swivel. Used it continuely up to about a month ago when I put on the mod. made by Hubert.
Now I have been using the Duo saddle and noticed right away that the Lockjack doesent move into the ideal position for use. the ball handle is sometimes pointing in the wrong position for ideal working while with the swivel I could always move it to where I wanted it.
I like your idea Tom of putting on the DMM wales swivel onto the strap of your B. However I think you will notice that it is rather heavy and you will always have it clunking around in front of you when just wearing the saddle with out the rope attached.
I put a swivel attached to a clevis attached to a biner onto my Duo kinda a long set up and I am not sure if I like it or not we'll see...
One point about the LockJack (sport is what i use) I feel a swivel is real important to take advantage of it.
Maybe Hubert can make a L.J. that will accept the eye end or create a swivel in the place of the alum. eye and eye "strap" he now uses

Im using a single swivel biner now.
The reason I'm not using two is because my hitch is an eye to eye.
That's why I need a small heavy duty biner.

I might try going to a double fisherman and a straight piece of rope for a hitch.
The single swivel has made an improvement, two would be better.
