Super Cooper

It's Sam Cooper's configuration. It's basically the VT without the braids. 3 or 4 wraps and instead of braiding, it's followed by just twisting the legs of the remainder of the hitch on one side of the climb line before connecting them to the biner or biner/pulley. The idea is to cause the wraps to angle against the rope slightly. It works just fine. I'm not using it right now because I've reverted back to the nice sloppy forgiving Tenex and I don't think it works well like that. But it works just fine with the stiffer smaller diameter hitch cords.

I've been climbing on the super cooper for a few months now and I like it a lot. I have been using a micro pulley to tend the hitch because when I did try to tend the hitch without one it didn't tend as nicely as I would like. I only tried it without a micro pulley on HRC maybe a different hitch cord would work better. I'm rockin it with 10mm armor prus on vortex and for me its a sweet combo SRT or DRT.

just tried the cooper's hitch. really neat hitch, and if someone runs off with your nice hitch climber pulley...and all your other pulleys for that matter, you can still tend one handed.

I like the coopers hitch. For one thing it's forgiving about the length of your E2E, and its easy to tweak to get it in the zone. It's a piece of cake with a pulley, but you could tend it by hand if you have to.
