Stump grinder teeth

Hey Guys,

I ended up buying and rg90 which is awesome,( thanks to Phil at rayco of MI for a sweet deal) and we love it. This machine is awesome. We have a set of rayco super teeth and they need replacement. I am thinking of switching over to green teeth but have heard they are harder on the machine. We like the rayco teeth and can sharpen them but just wanted some input before spending some more cash! What do you guys like the best?

we have a rig with traditional teeth and we rent a rig with green teeth.

I think the green teeth work better though you really don't get "3" times the cutting edges simply because as you cut you are wearing on almost half of the tooth.

super/regular teeth can be sharpened on the grinder with a green wheel but I'm not sure how quickly that goes. Green teeth require a machine that is fairly inexpensive to make. I've been grinding green teeth now for about 4 months and to do it right it takes several minutes per tooth. But the come out sharp and ready to go.

It's really your call...but I would think replacing a single tooth rather than tooth and pocket (like the super tooth) would be less expensive in the long run.
