StrandTuck splicing for hollow braids such as tenex or icetail

I saw somewhere that someone is splicing these hollow braids by separating the strands and tucking them in among the other strands of the hollow braid similar to 3-strand tucking. Just wondering if anyone here has done that and can explain their process.

Thanks!

I've done it... just fold the rope over for the eye, then take each strand and follow one on the main part. It worked but this was before i knew how to splice, and when i was making a balanced sling for a crab pot.. Nothing critical. Now that i know how to splice i don't see any point in it since a straight bury has to be so much stronger, and brummels are cool.

This can have the advantage that you can make a very short splice. But really you can just do a locking brummel splice with a short tail and you're good to go
