Storm work

We did this oak limb removal last week. The limb landed on the clients chimney, causing it to shift from the impact. The limbwood has already been removed. It was still windy and we wanted to reduce weight before taking any pics.

This pic shows the tip end just touching the wooden deck. We cut off 16" logs (the client wanted firewood) and switched off the 2 tip lines to prevent putting excessive weight on the deck.

Another view. The 3 on the left the crane was able to hoist, in pieces, with the jib on. The 2 on the right, we had to rig manually. The GRCS came in real handy.

Norm that rigging is transcendent.

When the limb is lifted over the chimney with complete control, I wondered if the homeowner had the guts to watch that happening!

Great job as always, and thanks for sharing!

Great pics and video! Could you share a little of the bidding process? Did you price the job right? Anything unexpected that you didn't account for? What would you have bid differently looking back?
Thanks :)
